We are the premier Baltimore Hiking group with over 9,000 members.
This group is for all those who are dedicated to hiking, biking, camping, and any other fun outdoor activity in and around Baltimore whether in the natural areas or urban settings. We offer a range of activities at different times and locations, and encourage all members to make suggestions or plan and lead events.

Hike in Patapsco State Park and enjoy scenic views through nice valleys with rolling hills and streams running in close-by ravines.
Directions:
From 95: take I195 (towards Catonsville) and make a left at the park & ride before getting to Rolling Road. Note: There is limited parking (off Rolling Rd) on the Right hand side across from the I195 park & ride that is closer to the trailhead.
From Beltway: take Wilkens Ave exit away from the city going towards Catonsville. Make a Left at Rolling Road and a left at the I195 park & ride. Note: There is limited parking on the Right hand side across from the I195 park & ride that is closer to the trailhead.
Rolling Road North: go South on Rolling road and make a left at the I195 park and ride. Note: There is limited parking on the Right hand side across from the I195 park & ride that is closer to the trailhead. Try to park by the trail head.

- Oregon Ridge Park - Baltimore County MD: 6 Miler Moderately Strenuous HikeOregon Ridge Dinner Theatre, Cockeysville, MD
This hike will allow us to see scenic trails along with getting the benefits of fresh air and exercise. We will start @ 9:15 am with a medium pace, which will our team to stay together and have ample time to appreciate beautiful natural surroundings. Definitely bring a great attitude and come with water. This hike is cross posted with other meetup groups.

OREGON RIDGE PARK has 1,043-acres. It features walking and hiking trails, nice waterways, nature center, picnic and recreation areas and a lodge.
NOTE: There are a few hills (Estimated - Elevation Gain @ 950 to 1000 feet), and some stream crossings. Terrain is mostly hard packed trail with some grounds encompassing tree roots and rocks. This is a hike for those who hike or walk at least 10 miles per week - and please RSVP only if you can maintain a medium pace and navigate through stream crossings & up and down hills - THANKS.
SUGGESTED HIKING MATERIALS:
- Long hiking pants, hiking shoes or hiking boots are highly recommended. However, trail running shoes or sneakers with treads can work.
- Hiking/trekking poles (optional).
- 2 liters of water
- Insect repellant
- Sunscreen.

Enjoy a scenic hike in Cromwell Valley culminating in nice views of Loch Raven Reservoir. Bring a snack to eat during a short stop at the reservoir.

Directions:
Take the I-695 beltway to Exit 29.
Turn left at the first light onto Cromwell Bridge Road.
Turn left onto park entry road at 2175 Cromwell Bridge Road.
Signs say, “Cromwell Valley Park, Willow Grove Farm, Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.”
MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE 2nd ENTRANCE TO THE PARK.
Follow the road across the bridge and park in gravel parking lot on left.
Cromwell Park has a couple trails that you can hike in a number of ways, so there are a few ways to change things up. There are a few small stream crossing.

22 WATERFALLS IN A MODERATE 8+/- MILE 1200+/- ft ELEVATION GAIN HIKE. This is a magical place. If you have gone before, you know how amazing it is. This is one of my favorite hikes in the eastern United States!
Throughout the 8 mile loop we move from one waterfall to the next. It is non-stop. At the end, for those who haven't had enough of waterfalls, there is a bonus amazing falls in close walking distance! With waterfalls ranging from 6ft to 94ft, I think you will be totally amazed as I was/am. hiking 2.3-2.7mph, slower when going up or down steep inclines/declines/stairs
This is an approx 3.5+ hour drive from Frederick, MD or Baltimore, MD, but well worth the drive.
WE WILL BE STEPPING OFF AT EXACTLY 10:30am, SO PLEASE ARRIVE EARLIER, around 10:20 latest.
Rest Room: Pit Toilets are located at the trailhead
