This hike is on land owned by the Lake George Land Conservancy. We will start at the trailhead off of Valley Woods Road in Bolton Landing. First, we hike to a clearing some 0.75 miles from the trailhead. Then we will climb Thomas Mountain. From there we’ll take the trail toward Cat Mountain passing a few viewpoints along the way. The views from the top of Cat are wonderful. Both mountains have far-range views, especially on a clear day, and Lake George is easily seen. Some sections are not well marked so we’ll be careful to look for the trail in places following a gps and map.
The total distance is about 7.5 miles with about 1,350 ft elevation gain.

Directions: Meet at the Park and Ride in Clifton Park – exit 9 off the Northway at 8:30.
Bring lunch and water.
