Ampersand Mountain is located in the western Adirondacks between Saranac and Tupper Lakes. 5.5+- miles RT, 1800’ gain, 3353’ summit elevation. Ascent is gradual for first half then rises steeply for the second half. Beautiful 360 degree views from bare rock summit. You must be in excellent physical condition and climbing mountains on a regular basis to participate. Where appropriate hiking gear and boots. Bring water/electrolytes, lunch, snacks and carpool $. By attending you agree that you alone are responsible for yourself and are hiking at your own risk. Please have emergency contact information on a card in your pocket or outer pocket of your pack. We can go to Little Italy in Tupper Lakefor dinner after the hike for those interested .Due to 2-3 hour travel time each way this is a full day event, please do not sign up if you have evening plans.
