Pendle - The Scenic Top Circumnavigation Route
Details
In 1652 George Fox climbed Pendle Hill, had a spiritual experience that led to the foundation of the Quakers. Now as most Hillbillies may have taken spirits over the festive period then perhaps by joining the walk you too may have an 'awakening' on Pendle Hill. The least you can hope for is the blowing away of those Christmas cobwebs and some fellowship and friendly chit chat.....
The walk will start from Sabden Car Park and after a short sharp climb we will circumnavigate the top of Pendle all day with lovely views from all directions (weather permitting). Decending at the end to what is arguably the best view in Lancashire from the Nick path looking to a sunset in the west.
Circa 9 - 10 Miles ....
Dogs on a lead .... perhaps a sheep or two on the tops....
Parking Sadden Car Park BB7 9EW (£3 for the day) with additional free parking up Stubbins Lane just after the car park on the left then third on the right.... you should have a field to your left and plenty of spaces (I will park there) then make your way to Sabden Car Park down the hill.. 100 mtrs ish....
