We will meet by the picnic tables at the Lower Barn by Go Ape. Rivington Lane, Horwich, Bolton at 09.50 am for first foot forward at 10.30 am.
The nearest postcode is BL67SB, but it's best to use the Google Map link for accurate navigation to the start of the walk.
Bring a packed lunch and some liquid refreshment and any leftover Christmas food to share😋
This will be a joint walk with Lancashire 30's and 40's Walking Group at a leisurely pace.
Dogs are welcome on short leads🐕🦺
Toilets and a cafe are available at the start☕️🍰
The free car park usually fills up very quickly, so please leave plenty of time to find alternative parking if necessary and then walk to the meet up point next to "Go Ape" for 10.15 am.
The route takes us up to Rivington Pike via the Japanese Gardens, Italian Lake, and Pigeon Tower. Then, back down via Rivington Snack Shack, Tigers Clough, and Liverpool Castle.
