Dovedale and Thors Cave - early doors

This fabulous 14-mile White Peak walk covers a beautiful and popular part of the Peak District and follows both the River Manifold and the River Dove.

The early start is to avoid the crowds at Thors cave and to see as much as we can in the area.
Lunch/ toilet stop will be at the exquisite Ilam Hall and Village. Return will be via Thorpe cloud and the limestone valley of Dovedale.
Overall ascent approx 750m/2500 feet.
Post walk drink at the George Hotel. Meeting point- Alstonefield Car Park and public toilet car park DE6 2FY
Parking – Alstonefield has 3 car park and they’re all in close proximity, see below. The first two car parks have honesty boxes so please be honest and leave a donation 😊
Alstonefield Cricket club car park DE6 2GD- donation Alstonefield Village Hall car park DE6 2FR- donation Alstonefield Car Park and public toilets Pay and Display DE6 2FY, £6.60 all day The pay and display car park has toilets also, this is £6.60 for the day.
