Time for the Hillbillies to pay a visit to the splendid Chatsworth estate on this 12 mile moderate walk. Before doing so we’ll explore a couple of the monuments and edges that lie beyond the estate.

Once in Chatsworth we’ll visit the Hunting Tower and Emperor Lake before heading off through woods to emerge at the river Derwent. This is our return stretch along before Chatsworth itself for ice cream, refreshments and toilets.

This is a perfect summers day walk so bring your picnic, sun cream and maybe even swimwear 🤷🏻‍♀️😃⛱️🍦

Parking and toilets at Nether End car park in Baslow, Church Lane DE45 1SR. See photos.
