Hillbillies Paddling Event, Windermere South Lake and River Leven.

Only open for Hillbillie friends with paddling experience who agree to be responsible for their own safety.

Meet at the South Car Park for shore launch point (about 800m south of Boathouse cafe) within Fell Foot National Trust P&D Car Park, LA12 8NN. Car Park fills quickly in good weather so come early.

Start Time on the water 09:30 am ⏰. Allow good time to park-up, pump-up and launch on the water! 🚣‍♀️

Delightful 10 - 11 miles on south Windermere Lake.
Weather dependent event (low wind and good visibility) for paddlers with experience, a suitable Paddle board, Kayak or Canoe and a Life-Jacket or Buoyancy Aid.
Route takes in River Leven, Newby Bridge, Bench Hill for Pub or picnic lunch. Return after Karens Island and Lakeside Hotel jetty.
If the weather is bad the event will be cancelled and rescheduled possibly for the following weekend.

Drinks and Food option at the end 😋.
Bring well maintained paddle craft including buoyancy aid, food, water and lots of smiles 😊.
