Watergrove and Cowm Reservoirs via Healey Dell

An approx. 11.5-mile walk starting from the car park at Watergrove Reservoir, Wardle, near Rochdale. Having walked part-way round the reservoir, we pick up the Pennine Bridleway, then the Rochdale Way and finally the Rossendale Way, heading down to the spectacular, tree-lined, deep valley of Healey Dell. We pass through Healey Dell before heading back uphill to Cowm Reservoir. From Cowm, we head down into Whitworth, and then uphill and round Brown Wardle and Middle Hills before returning to Watergrove Reservoir and our cars.
