Details
A great walk to see all the good bits of Edinburgh. Will meet at the front of the Johnnie Walker building on Princes Street. Leaving at 9.50am for this circular walk, we will then walk down to the scenic Dean Village then follow the Water of Leith to Stockbridge and check out the market.
We will then walk through the New Town to Calton Hill with 360 views of Edinburgh then down through Holyrood Palace/Parliament building before walking up Arthurs Seat (352mtrs) - our extinct volcano which lies in the centre of the city centre.
From there we will head over to the Meadows through the posh Newington area then up Blackford Hill (164mtrs) for lunch overlooking the city with a different view of the Castle and Arthurs Seat then walk through The Hermitage of Braid Local Nature Reserve before a local refreshment then walk back through the lovely Morningside to our meeting point on Princes Street.
My Scottish walkers also invited.
