What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in visiting Historic and Ancient churches, battlefields, monuments, historic paths, old houses, gardens, ships, pubs and more, and don't mind stopping and starting to look around. Where everyone can feel comfortable enough to share their knowledge and expertise.
The aim is to enjoy both Hampshire and Wiltshire (and maybe even further a field) which are steeped in history, archaeology and historic buildings and sites. The events will involve walking either around a place of interest or a short circular walk of around 3/8 miles. Due to the nature of the activity we may incur entry fee's to certain historic sites or events. We will try to end the day in a tea rooms or pub to catch up on what we've seen.
I think theses event are best in good weather. If the weather is looking unpleasant I will let you know the night before if I'll be canceling. :-)
