If you cancel or no-show, you take a spot away from someone else. The host keeps the right to temporarily or permanently ban you from their meetups if you cancel within 12 hours or are a no show.

Advanced/Elite Level Paddlers - 10 mile trip. No stop in between!

The Hudson River swim season is upon us!

We will assist with Urban Swim open water swim providing 1-1 coverage to swimmers going around the Statue of Liberty

Please be mindful of others and arrive on time. Check the cut off time to arrive under the timeline. Check the prerequisites, things to bring, craft prerequisites and detailed timeline all below. Make sure you are okay with everything below before RSVPing. You MUST BE FELXIBLE WITH YOUR RETURN TIME.

PREREQUISITES TO RSVP:

• Completed advanced training LV2 for kayak or SUP
• You can self rescue under 120 seconds with whatever craft you are using
• You received an invitation from Urban Swim to participate
• You have attended at least 2 trainings with our boathouse in 2024/2025

CRAFT PREREQUISITES:

• Sea Kayak - Level 2. Completed an advanced trip in 2024/2025 and self rescue in 120 seconds or less
• SUP - only if approved by Urban Swim. Completed an advanced trip in 2024/2025
• No sit on top, OC, or surfski

COME PREPARED:

• Sunscreen
• Water in a reusable bottle. Lots of water
• BRING SNACKS!
• Anything else need to spend hours on the water

TIMELINE:

• 9:45 AM -Meet at the boathouse

• 10:00 AM - Get equipment ready - CUTOFF TIME TO ARRIVE

• 10:15 AM - Safety briefing
• 10:30 AM - All boats ready on the beach

• 10:40 AM - Depart Cove

• 12:25 PM - Check In with Urban Swim

• 12:35 PM - swimmers in the water

• 12:38 AM - SWIM START

• 1:45 PM - SWIM ENDS

• 2:00 PM - Begin journey home
• 3:30 PM - Land at HCCB
• 3:40 PM - clean and put away boats
• 4:00 PM - Trip ends
