Current and new volunteers, join us for a workout paddle!

We'll start with a short trip to pier A while the public river trip gets ready. We will meet up with the public river trip on our return and help them for the rest of their paddle if needed.

Please be mindful of others and arrive on time. Check the cut off time to arrive under the timeline. Let's get ready quickly to maximize our time on the water!

It’s hot out- bring lots of water, a hat, and sunscreen! Also bring non cotton clothing and a change of clothes.

PREREQUISITES TO RSVP

  1. Volunteered at least once for an embayment shift in 2025 OR volunteered at the Hudson River Cup 2025
  2. Have time trialed your craft in less than 17 minutes a mile (advanced)
  3. Can self rescue within 2 minutes
  4. Feel comfortable launching independently and paddling at ~4kts for 30 minutes

COME PREPARED

  • Quick drying clothes
  • Towel
  • Change of clothes
  • Sunscreen, hat
  • Water in a reusable bottle

TIMELINE
6:00 PM - Meet at HCCB. Prepare equipment.
6:15 PM - Cut off time to arrive
6:30 PM - begin trip to pier A
7:00 PM - turn around and meet public river trip
7:45 PM - help with rest of their trip and landing
8:00 PM - Clean and put away equipment
8:30 PM - Training ends
