Current and new volunteers, join us for a training session!
We will work on SUP -> SUP rescues and SUP -> Kayak Rescues. We will also have a refresh on SUP teaching during embayments. If you are a guide I trainings or want to SUP for cove patrol please join this session!
Please be mindful of others and arrive on time. Check the cut-off time to arrive under the timeline. Let's get ready quickly to maximize our time on the water
Bring non cotton clothing and a change of clothes. Expect to go swimming!
PREREQUISITES TO RSVP
- Volunteered at least twice for an embayment shift in 2025.
- Paddled a novice trip on SUP and felt comfortable!
- have attended a SUP training this season
- Have an intermediate time trial
COME PREPARED
- Quick drying clothes
- Towel
- Change of clothes
- Sunscreen, hat
- Water in a reusable bottle
TIMELINE
6:00 PM - Meet at HCCB. Prepare equipment.
6:15 PM - Cut off time to arrive
6:30 PM - Practice in the cove
8:00 PM - Return to boathouse
8:15 PM - Clean and put away equipment
8:30 PM - Training ends
