Costume Paddle - DTBH and Little Island - 6 mile round trip

Grab a costume, decorate your boat, and get on the water for our annual Halloween paddle. The Oc3 migration will happen during thee trip and please also complete the Google form:

Please be mindful of others and arrive on time. Check the cut off time to arrive under the timeline. Check the prerequisites, things to bring, craft prerequisites and detailed timeline all below. Make sure you are okay with everything below before RSVPing.

PREREQUISITES TO RSVP

Volunteered at least 4 public programming shifts with our boathouse or Hudson River Cup in 2025
AND
Completed 1+ trainings in 2025
AND
Completed a wet exit in 2025
AND
Completed an intermediate time trial
AND
Attended a novice trip and felt strong and comfortable throughout

• 7AM: Meet at HCCB and prep fleet for launch.
• 7:45AM: Launch kayaks and OC3 and paddle to Gaansevort Pier.
• 8:15AM to 8:45AM: Photos at Gaansevort Pier.
• 8:30AM: OC6's launch from HCCB and meetup with small boats fleet.
• 8:45AM: Kayaks and OC3 paddle towards DTBH.
• 9:30AM: Combined HCCB fleet arrival at Pier 26.
• 10:30AM to 11:30AM: Land transport walk OC3 to Cooper Square. This walk will be filmed.
• 11:30AM to 12:00PM: OC3 is maneuvered into the gallery.
• 12:30PM to 1:00PM: Land transport crew heads back to Pier 26. Kayakers head back to pier 26.
• 1:00PM: kayaks depart to paddle back to HCCB (stop at little island if time permits). Halloween costume paddle!
• 2:30/2:45PM Arrival at HCCB. Cleanup.
• 4PM Depart HCCB.
