PRIDE Urban Swim Support

We will be assisting Urban Swim PRIDE open water swim from Downtown Boathouse to Pier 40. Please do not be late. The swim starts with or without us, and the swimmers need our guidance.

Please eat before you come and/or bring snacks.

Please do not RSVP if you do not pass the prerequisites

PREREQUISITES TO RSVP:

• You received an invitation from Urban Swim, the host, or one of HCCB guides to participate
• If you have volunteered with us in the last 2 years and completed an intermediate trip, message host for an invitation

Craft:

• Sea Kayak
• Sit on top (we will be going agaisnt current, you must be very 💪)
• SUP if approved by Urban Swim.

Come prepared:

• Sunscreen
• Water in a reusable bottle. Lots of water
• Anything else need to spend hours on the water

Timeline:

• 5:45 AM: Arrive at the boathouse
• 6:00 AM: Safety briefing
• 6:15 AM: Move boats to beach
• 6:30 AM: Depart HCCB (PADDLE AGAINST CURRENT)
• 7:30 AM arrive at Downtown Boathouse
• 7:45 AM check in with Urban Swim

8:00 AM SWIM START

• 9:15ish: Swim will finish
• 9:30 AM begin paddle back to HCCB
• 10:45 AM: Arrive at HCCB
• 11:00 AM: Clean and put away equipment
• 12:00 PM Trip ends
