Volunteer Craft Switch Training- All Levels
Details
Current and new volunteers join us for a training session! We’ll will be trying out craft that we usually do not paddle so we can understand different crafts at our boathouse! This will be especially helpful for trip leaders/ guides in training when planning and leading trips.
Dress appropriately and expect to get wet!!
PREREQUISITES TO RSVP
- You volunteered at leaat 1 shift with us in 2025-2026.
- you are ok getting wet in case you fall in!

COME PREPARED
- Quick drying clothes
- Change of clothes
- Towel
- Sunscreen, hat
- Water in a reusable bottle
TIMELINE
- 6:00 PM - Meet at HCCB. Prepare equipment. Safety briefing
- 6:15pm - cut off to arrive
- 6:20 PM - Move boats to beach
- 6:30 PM - Practice in the cove and switch as needed
- 8:00 PM - Return to boathouse
- 8:15 PM - clean and debrief
- 8:30 PM -Training ends
