Angular Renaissance and all that jazz
Angular has evolved. Today, it is easier than ever for new developers and those familiar with other frameworks to dive in and build applications. The new APIs reduce the learning curve and provide a state-of-the-art framework with extensive capabilities. This talk is for you if you are new to Angular and want to expand your horizons, or if you are an experienced Angular developer interested in discussing the future direction of Angular.

The twilight zone of old JS and IoT
Fate had it, and I had to run old JS on very low level IoT devices.
How old? Why old JS? How did I get there? What did I learned?
Join me in this showcase to see how deep the IoT rabbit hole goes

Faking our way to quality: environment faking in frontend tests
Most codebases were built quickly and with little attention to testing and quality. The fig leaves of unit testing and e2e testing are sometimes implemented but donโt really move the quality needle. What do we do? Which tests can have value in the frontend world.
I was challenged to come up with good tests for our product at Microsoft, and I buckled up, tried various approaches, and finally came up with an approach that is very successful in our team: enabling a test to run just a part of the frontend (e.g. a specific page or dialog), and fake the backend to remove the flakiness and improve DX. This talk will discuss the solution we came up with, the journey to it, and the various approaches we discarded along the way.
