Howdy Everyone,
I would like to welcome you to THE HOLE IN THE WALL CAMPING AND GETAWAY GANG!
Colorado, my home state, remains a place of beauty and mystery. It's a state of majestic landscapes, startling panoramas. Colorado is a land of uncompromising beauty, dominated by lofty, snowcapped peaks; creased by precipitous canyons and mesas.

The Rocky Mountain Chain stretches from northern Alaska to southern New Mexico. Found within this chain lies 54 peaks that touches the clouds at over 14,000 ft and every one of those peaks we call the FOURTEENERS are found right here in the Glorious State of Colorado! Makes you a bit tingly inside doesn't it!!!
And above all, Colorado is the eighth largest state which stretches across North America's midsection which bestrides THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE that seperates the Alantic and Pacific watersheds.

It's all out there, along the highway shoulders or follow the highways, freeways and byways. Stop and linger then drive without a destination and while as your're at it take a glimpse into the beauty, wonder and awe of Colorado's Natural Soul.

Just to let you know this is a DISPERSED CAMPING GROUP but if you would like to check out a hostel, motel, hotel or a reserved camp ground be my guest. The campfire doesn't move to your location!!!

I am not an organizer who writes a colorful description of What's Out There? I would prefer we traveled together and make our own scrapbook of memories. You've looked at enough books and magazines and seen photos of: sand colored deserts, deep canyons, painted mesas, wildflowers, pine, conifer and aspen trees so how about gettin' up and personal with our surroundings!

~This is a group which will be camping, hiking and venturing anywhere in or out of Colorado, on the weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings, Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.
~As a member, I'd like for you to send me all of the ideas of where you want to camp as long as it's dispersed camping. I won't pay a huge sum for a reserved campsite just to sleep under a tree.

When Meetup members sign up and accept the Meetup Terms of Service, they are agreeing to the Release found in Section 6.2: This Release basically states that members attend events at their own risk, and release The Organizers, the assistant organizers and Meetup from any claims that may result in injury or death

Purchasing a Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) Card. Colorado residents and visitors are well served by dedicated volunteer search and rescue teams, but mission costs are often in the thousands of dollars. By purchasing a CORSAR card you are contributing to the Search and Rescue Fund, which will reimburse these teams for costs incurred in your search and rescue. Funds remaining at the end of the year are used to help pay for training and equipment for these teams. Anyone with a current hunting/fishing license, or boat, snowmobile, ATV registration is already covered by the fund. The card is not insurance and does not reimburse individuals nor does it pay for medical transport.
