Holy Shift is a new Chapel Hill, NC meetup group for people with questions, doubts, church baggage, existential crises, religious trauma, theological rabbit holes, and an unhealthy number of Bible verses committed to memory that they can no longer explain.

You don't have to have the right answers, or any answers at all. You're safe to be unsure, to change your mind, and to not know. We'll wrestle with big questions, laugh at the weird parts, unpack the hard parts, and dig into the narratives and religious systems that shaped us. We'll listen to each other's stories - because your journey matters and you're not walking it alone.

Whether you're deconstructing your faith, reconstructing, somewhere in the middle, or just spiritually freelancing - you belong.

We will meet regularly at One40 Social off Franklin Street in Chapel Hill to grab a drink, grab some food, and join a conversation where curiosity is encouraged, disagreement is welcome, and nobody has to pretend that they've got it all figured out. As the group grows, we hope to plan additional events based on member interest and need.
