What we’re about
Calling all architects, engineers, fabricators, builders, makers, parametric ninjas, designers, coders, or anybody who are passionate about incorporating computation into the way we conceive, design, and build the buildings we spend our lives in!
If you do one or more of the following (but not limited to this!) should probably join our next meetup:
- You use code (visual or text-based scripting) to overcome design challenges and create things <br>- You let the computer to do heavy lifting so you can focus on the stuff that requires your brain <br>- You move a Grasshopper/Dynamo slider, watch geometry change, and get excited in a way that non-nerds find weird <br>- You think BIM is the most over-used acronym....ever <br>- You get excited at the idea of robots and drones building/doing things for you <br>- You've not touched AutoCAD for over a decade....you know, since its 2018 and all <br>- You graft and flatten like a boss <br>- You be like “no API, no thank you”
Those of you who would prefer: <br>- Designing 3D objects using 2D drawings <br>- Using AutoCAD/Revit manually for easy and repetitive tasks <br>- Blindly using blackbox Excel sheets made in the 90's <br>- Copying and pasting things over and over all day <br>- Waiting for Autodesk or some other software Goliath to sell you the 'perfect' tool
can join as well, just come with an open mind and be prepared to see the light ;).
