Welcome to the Hong Kong Writing Club!
Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this group is perfect for anyone with a passion for penning or typing their thoughts. Please come and join us for day and night writing events.
We welcome writers of all genres and styles, though the main focus will be on English language creative writing. Novels, short stories, poetry, zines, plays, song lyrics, creative non-fiction, biography etc. Theses, journal, magazine and news articles are fine too. This is not the place for general marketing and business networking (though publishing reps and writing agents are welcome!), getting others to proof-read your grammar, or anything to do with AI (sorry!).
The idea is to have both daytime meetups in cafes (for coffee, food, quiet writing time, and some feedback) and night time meetups in bars (for drinks, writing exercises, and sharing reading work). Please keep an eye out for the scheduled events.
Happy to have you aboard. I'm hoping we can inspire each other, sharpen our skills, and create a supportive writing community in Hong Kong.
