Whether you're an experienced player or a curious newbie, you can join us for epic adventures, fierce battles, and general shenanigans. Tavern Time Book Club
Start Line Brewing Co, 151R Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton, MA, USTavern Time is a semi-regular hangout at the Start Line Brewing Company, in Hopkinton, where we play games, run one-shot adventures, or just talk about fantasy and science fiction topics. This time, we will be discussing the classic Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser short story, "Ill Met in Lankhmar", by Fritz Lieber. It's a fun read, and an an interesting look at the history of the thief class, adventures in urban settings, and other concepts that made their way into early Dungeons & Dragons. The story appears in many collections of early fantasy fiction, and is fairly easy to find text or audio online. Stop by to hoist a tankard of ale (or non-alcoholic alternative) and share your thoughts on the story!
