HOPS! Homebrewers Pride of the Southside is a social group that was founded in 1995. We are devoted to appreciating beer styles, brew pubs, and home brewing. Our flagship event is our Oktoberfest in September, and we offer other events throughout the year including brew pubs outings, happy hours and monthly meetings. HOPS! Oktoberfest 2026
Bridgeport VFW, 3200 S May, Chicago, IL, USHomebrewers' Pride of the Southside is proud to celebrate the club's annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, Sept 19 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at VFW 5079 in Bridgeport. Come join us for an afternoon of great beer and good times.
The Chicago Homebrewers’ Pride of the Southside annual Oktoberfest has become one of the most widely-anticipated craft and homebrew beer festivals in the city. Dozens of craft brewery and homebrew beers will be on tap along with a complimentary meal of grilled meats, sausages, side dishes and desserts.
Must be 21 to attend. No children or pets allowed.
There will be HOPS! members around, including many with BJCP expertise, who will give beer advice, brewing knowledge, style critique and explain how to become a member of one of Chicago's original homebrew club.
