Photowalk: Visit to the Art Car Museum

The Houston Art Car Museum is currently listed as closed, but it is available by appointment only. They were gracious in allowing HoustonPhotowalks to visit, but we are limited to a 20-person group.

This is going to be a lot of fun, if you've ever been to an Art Car parade, you know what I mean. The artists are pretty amazing and what they come up with is always really interesting to see and document with a camera.

DONATION

Visiting the museum is usually free. We will be collecting a donation for the museum when you RSVP to this event as part of our ongoing "Fund the Fun" initiative.

ABOUT THE ART CAR MUSEUM

The Art Car Museum is a contemporary art installation of rotating exhibitions, usually cars that have been decorated as art.

We have been given permission to photograph, but please limit your gear to what can be carried by hand (no large bags, backpacks, rollers, or strollers of camera gear). A small lens case or small camera bag is ok.

Due to the limited number of available spaces, this event is limited to HoustonPhotowalks members only.

COVID

The location requires masks regardless of vaccination status. If you prefer not to wear a mask, we invite you to join one of our other events that don't require them. We will observe all of the location's rules/restrictions/requests so the entire group is not kicked out.

The location has several large rooms but may not have enough physical space for using long telephoto lenses. I suggest "fast" lenses and/or wide-angle for this visit. It's also a great chance to practice your iPhone/Mobile photography!
