Photowalk Watch the Moonlight Paddle on Lake Woodlands

Come join us at the Lake Woodlands Boat House for this unique opportunity to watch and photograph Kayaks decorated up with lights to help illuminate the way. We will be able to watch and photograph the participants as they paddle out on the lake. I recommend we get there early to secure a prime location for shooting as this is a large event and can draw some crowds.
The event kicks off at 8:15pm. By getting there early we can walk the waterway and set up and maybe get some people shots along the way.

Parking:
Parking is located directly across the street in the green lot and along Riva Row.

What to bring:
Any type of camera you feel comfortable with shooting. Tripods will be allowed. Remember you will be dealing with spectators walking along the route. Lens choices are many that is up to you. Long lenses if you want to get in close. Sunset will be at 7:56pm and the paddle starts at 8:15. We may get some twilight shots of the waterway.

The organizer may not be available online (email/texts/comments) during and before the event. So get any questions to the organizer early.

HoustonPhotowalks is a rain-or-shine group. We won't cancel unless the mayor says to evacuate the city. Photography in the rain can be amazing, so join us even if the weather looks sketchy!
