Photowalk: Fireworks

Let's practice some fireworks photography!
Kemah Boardwalk has a fireworks display every Friday night at 9 pm, during June and July. I have permission for us to be at a location across the water from Kemah Boardwalk. We will be able to take pictures of the fireworks as they are shot off from a barge in Trinity Bay.
Keep in mind, you will need to get to the location, get situated, and pre-focus your camera. So, yes, we will have to wait for a bit before the show starts (sometimes it starts late, too....)
Things to bring:
1. Camera, batteries, memory cards
2. Lens (I will be using a 24-105mm)
3. Tripod
4. Tape (to tape down your focus point on your lens)
5. A piece of stiff, black cardboard, approx. 6"x6" (This is optional, in case you want to get fancy with your shots.)
6. Remote trigger
7. Bug spray
