Class: Creating Professional Prints at Home (via Zoom)
Details
Details
There's a difference between seeing your finished work on a screen, and holding a 11x17 (or larger) print in your hands. On screen, you look and swipe to the next image. But a print - it's permanent (mostly 😁). It's something you can hold, display, and for others to see. It's a way to preserve your memories. Joe Lippeatt highlighted this in an article on HPW's site back on September 26, 2025.
If you've done photographic work for others (such as friends, relatives, etc.), there's nothing like seeing their reaction when you present them with a large/wide format print
This class will focus on choosing a wide format photo printer that best suits your needs, paper selection, making test prints and producing consistent results. We'll demonstrate printing in Capture One and Lightroom Classic.
We'll show the various options of how to print - including the "Printer Manages Color" option, and a color managed workflow in both Capture One, and in Lightroom Classic (using Canon's Print Studio Pro plug-in in LrC).
This class will be part Keynote presentation and part demonstration. We'll provide time at the end to address printing issues that you may have come up against.
If you're currently using a wide format printer, and have questions, please message me beforehand so that I can research them to properly address them.
The Zoom link will be provided Friday morning before the class in the evening.
