Houston Shamanism and Sacred Circle Shamanism & Metaphysical groups are earth-based spirituality "ministries" currently operating independent of any church or religious organization. We believe that spirituality does not spring from religion, but is a practice, a way of life and way of being. We welcome all peace loving people in our healing circle.

Hello and Welcome! We look forward to seeing you at our event as we join sister site, Sacred Circle Shamanism and Metaphysical group.

For tonight's gathering, we will meet at 2115 Turner Drive, in Houston at the corner of Aldine-Westfield Road and Turner Drive (inside the main chapel building of the First Spiritualist Church of Houston. We are not endorsed by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches and our group is a separate entity and not sponsored by FSCOH.

Doors Open at 6:00 PM for Registration/Tea/Quiet Meditation

Ceremony Begins at 6:30 PM

Doors Locked at 6:40 PM. No latecomers admitted.
Ceremony Ends at 8:30 PM
Building Locked at 9 PM.

EVENT FEE: $10.00 for *each person attending. No children. Your generous donations pay for the use of our comfortable indoor meeting space and your host's Meetup fees.

A full refund will be made if the event is cancelled or if you change your RSVP by 5 PM on the same day of the event. Everyone attending MUST also sign in at the registration table by the door.

Wear comfortable clothes as we will be sitting, standing, drumming, or moving/dancing in place. Bring your frame drum, djembe, bongo, shakers, bells, tambourines or rattles if you have them (NOT required), a bottle of water, a blanket or large pillow to sit on, and a journal to record your experiences if you wish. We have spare drums available.

We are always an alcohol-free and drug-free event.

IMPORTANT RULES AND MEMBERS CODE OF CONDUCT (UPDATED 2026)

CEREMONIAL ETIQUETTE (please read)

Enter the ceremony space quietly. If you must "visit" with others, do so at a Level 1 or 2 volume as others may be meditating in preparation for the event's ceremony.

Once ceremony has begun, follow the directions of your circle Elder or Facilitator.

We utilize a "talking stick" that is passed clockwise so that everyone may speak and not be interrupted. Please try not to speak out of turn.

Once ceremony has ended, please try to maintain a voice level of 1 or 2 as you move about and collect your belongings or are exiting the building.

The building will be cleared and gates locked by 9 PM.

RULES (Updated September 2026)

Houston Shamanism and Sacred Circle Shamanism are not dating, advertising, sales, entertainment or promotional groups. We ask that attendees refrain from networking for these purposes during ALL meetings and ceremonies.

We are an alcohol-free, and substance-free zone and do not permit these types of activities at our ceremonies.

Although this event is usually held inside the First Spiritualist Church of Houston, this is not a church sponsored event and is not endorsed by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches.

You may take any of the free literature provided by the church if you are interested.

You may also take any of Houston Shamanism's or Sacred Circle Shamanism and Metaphysical's free literature on the sign in table.

We do not allow tarot readings or palm readings at our ceremonies or at this location.

We generally do not allow others to give psychic messages to others or conduct energy healings before, during or after the ceremonies at the gatherings, UNLESS you are pre-approved, or instructed to do so by the Circle Facilitator.

Harassment of any member, repeated disruptions or any outburst at our gatherings will result in immediate suspension of membership.
