Welcome to Christchurch Language Explorers 😊
We're a friendly community for anyone who enjoys learning languages or simply meeting other language learners in Christchurch.
Our events are relaxed, welcoming, and discussion-based. Some focus on language learning strategies and motivation, while others provide opportunities to practise speaking and build confidence.
Together we enjoy:
- sharing experiences, challenges, and small wins
- discovering study techniques and useful resources
- supporting each other and staying motivated
- learning from one another in a friendly, low-pressure environment
Whether you're learning your first language or your fifth, you're very welcome here. All languages, levels, and backgrounds are welcome.
The community is organised by Aniko from GoldenBridge, an English teacher and language enthusiast who believes language learning is better when we learn together.

We’ll loosely focus on things like:

• staying focused and motivated
• what works for you and what doesn’tBut we’ll keep it flexible, so we can also follow whatever feels interesting or useful to talk about.

About me
My name is Aniko, and I'm a lifelong language learner (Hungarian, German, Finnish, Estonian, and now Japanese). I also run GoldenBridge English Centre, and I'm fascinated by how we learn languages in ways that feel both effective and enjoyable.
