Brews and Prophetic Imagination
Details
Brews & Prophetic Imagination is a welcoming, discussion-based gathering for young adults exploring the Book of Amos together. No Bible background or prep required—just show up, grab a drink, and join the conversation.
📍 Bean & Barley | 🕖 Mondays 7:00–8:30pm | 📅 Jan 5–Feb 9
Each session stands on its own. All are welcome—curiosity is enough.
Together, we’ll walk through the Book of Amos from start to finish, reading larger sections of scripture each week and taking time to understand the historical and social context in which Amos was speaking. Amos was an outsider prophet who challenged a society that looked successful and faithful on the surface, while ignoring injustice beneath it—and his words still resonate in powerful ways today.
Our gatherings are designed to be open, thoughtful, and conversation-centered. We’ll read scripture together, ask honest questions, and explore how themes like faith, power, worship, responsibility, and hope connect to our lives and the world around us. The goal isn’t to have all the answers, but to practice prophetic imagination—learning to tell the truth about the world as it is, and imagining the world as it could be.
You don’t need to attend every week to participate. Each session stands on its own, so feel free to come when you’re able—once or every week. Whether you’re brand new to the Bible, returning with questions, or simply looking for meaningful conversation and community, you are welcome here.
If you’re looking for a space that values curiosity, respect, and honest dialogue—this is for you.
