Details
Hey everybody!
Excited to announce our April Live Code - Jeff Carpenter (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffcarp) (Full stack engineer @ Bloodhound) is going to build a JavaScript app on AngularJS!
Event Abstract:
Interested in AngularJS or working on picking it up? Spend an hour learning how to build an MVC JavaScript app using AngularJS. We'll cover all the juicy Angular stuff - controllers, services, directives, dependency injection, end-to-end testing with karma, and more.
People with all levels of familiarity with Angular are welcome. At the end we'll go over best practices for deploying Angular in production and take a look at what's coming in Angular 2.0.
Jeff's background:
Jeff Carpenter is a software engineer at Bloodhound, a startup in the Mission that makes a mobile app and web dashboard for capturing and following up with sales leads. His two most recent side projects are Vida, a tool for playing with cellular automata, and https://rcrd.org (https://rcrd.org/), a simple quantified self app. Not too long ago Jeff graduated from Colby College in Maine after having studied Computer Science and Psychology. When he's not at the office, he's probably with his girlfriend on a quest to find the best sushi in SF or studying for his private pilot's license. You can contact him at @jcarp or at http://jeff.is (http://jeff.is/).
Doors open at 7pm - as always we encourage you to bring your laptop so you can follow along and live code with Jeff!
Look forward to seeing you there!
