Reel Philosophers: Some worlds are connected

Details
(Use promo code "Free" or pay an optional fee to secure a seat and support PFA - details below)
Have you heard of komorebi? This Japanese word means sunlight filtering through trees and casting transient shadows on the forest floor. Komorebi inspired us to experiment with a new flow – fragmented screening – to let thoughts filter through the space between the scenes. We won't view the entire film, but allow more time for conversations. (you are welcome to watch the film in advance, but this is not necessary)
"The world is made up of many worlds; some are connected, and some are not."
We'll discuss connection as a concept in philosophical, artistic and technological contexts. The latter is strongly maintained by our event partner, Vorboss, a leading London internet provider. This time, philosophy will meet art in Vorboss's luminous office area, which connects the local business community.
Inspired by the tradition of Ancient Greek symposia, Reel Philosophers nights help sharpen critical thinking through themed screenings and discussions gently guided by professional philosophers.
The Flow:
17:00 Doors open: enjoy a drink and mingle.
17:30 Meet the hosts.
17:40 Club opens: join discussions facilitated by PFA philosophers and guided by cinematic vignettes.
19:10 Curtain falls. Credits and reflections.
19:20 Socialising over drinks.
21:00 Doors close, yet conversations tend to wander through the streets and minds long after.
Event partner: Vorboss, London's fastest business internet provider, now with managed IT and cybersecurity.
Film clubs co-produced by Reputy and Philosophy for All are part of the Human RenAIssance series of interdisciplinary events in Fleet Street Quarter and beyond, aiming to connect the business community and develop human intelligence.

We also kindly invite guests to purchase drinks at the bar throughout the evening as a gesture of thanks to the venue for hosting us.
