Don Horsley County Park
Lets kick-off 2027 at this beautiful new park that provides numerous painting options from the parking lot and from various viewing areas. You can reach the beach via a very steep road that will be challenging with painting gear. The road is initially paved but becomes gravel for most of its length. This park has an amazing beach, lovely wildflowers, a beautiful creek and stunning views. The view looking up Tunitas Creek canyon from the beach is exceptionally pretty but it does require a 20 minute walk down a steep hill then along very soft sand.
Parking
Parking is free and the lot is large but not huge. I have had no issues parking during the week.
Restrooms
Located down the steep road that leads to the beach. Allow 5 to 10 minutes to reach them from the parking lot.
