Pigeon Point Lighthouse

This location provides many painting options: dramatic views of the rocky coastline, plus several good views of the lighthouse (built in 1872) and pretty sandy coves towards the south. Easy access to the first of these coves if you wish to paint there. A small path that winds across the bluffs above the beaches leads through lovely native coastal vegetation, making a nice walk before or after painting.
I am aware that our first event at this location is during Thanksgiving week but I think it will be fun to have an opportunity to paint during the holiday period, and for those who cannot make it, we do have a 2nd week.
Parking
Free and plentiful but it can get busy. It is a popular place.
Restrooms
Two pit-style toilets to the south side of the parking lot. No running water.
Lunch @ 12:30
Meet at the picnic tables across from the lighthouse to share our work and enjoy lunch.
