It Beats the Heck Out of a Treadmill, Hike:
Hot, early , Florida hike so we will still be ready when backpacking season starts. We will park in day use area, use the fee box if it works. There are bathrooms and water.
We will head down the hill to the FNST, Western Corridor to hike about 2 hours out, turn around and hike about 2 hours back. Maybe 6 miles but definitely not more than 10. I have not hiked that section of the FNST, so let's see where it goes.
Hikers must be in excellent physical condition, experienced with hot hikes in Florida, uneven terrain and be able to carry over 2 liters of water . Experienced hikers, you know the drill, more water, electrolytes, hiking shoes/boots, long pants, sunblock, etc.
