PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING (THERE IS A WAITLIST ALREADY):
We will be making some moderate to long hikes along the eastern flank of the Santa Rosa Mountains and discussing the geology along the way. It will be a tad warmer than the higher Mojave Desert that has been cold lately. There are several trails and peaks I want to check out. Hikes will be from 7-14 miles with 2000-4000 ft of elevation gain with some cross country hiking. Below is listing of what I'm considering to hike, but we can only do 3 of them. There's some great geology in the Santa Rosa Mountains too!

To attend this trip you need to be in good hiking shape and able to do the hikes and stay with the group (2-3 mph pace-keep in mind a lot of this desert cross country). There's a wait list and the trip can accommodate 11 or 12). So if you are interested please join the wait list and answer the questions.

We will not be camping out but staying at a university research facility. Cost is $75.00/person for 3 days and 2 nights payable by check to the Geologic Maps Foundation. Facility has kitchen facilities (you bring your meals), dorm style sleeping quarters (2 per room) and showers (you bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, soap, etc).

If you make it on trip then I need your full name and an email address so I can send out additional needed info (I need to receive your info when you are accepted on the trip, otherwise you will be shown as not going on trip).
