Geo-hike scouting-out trip to the Bitterroot Mountains, Montana

Geo-hikers, We are headed to the Bitterroot Mountains, Montana to scout out a few interesting hikes, geologic and historical stops there, and along the way and back. Perhaps I can use some areas for later Geo-hikes. We will be posting some photos and notes here, so check back.

It would be interesting to do something out of California for a change and expand our horizons. Photo above is from my last trip to the Bitterroot Mountains, Montana, that was also in the early fall.
