What we’re about
ALL LGBTQ(18+) lovers of CLASSIC/TRADITIONAL BOARD/CARD GAMES welcome:)
(ALL LEVELS WELCOME , from complete beginner to advanced)
Examples of TRADITIONAL BOARD and CARD games: eg Monopoly, Cleudo, Connect 4, draughts, dominoes,Boggle,Articulate, etc etc; all card games.
There is currently a tendency towards chess and Scrabble; but it all depends on what games you enjoy, and BRING ( I-Steve-have Monopoly, Boggle, dominoes; and multiple Scrabble and chess sets)
You get the idea!: nothing over-complex or involving role-play!
We reserve two tables; you can mix and match games, depending on who wants to play what!
Group meets every FOUR x TUESDAY evenings (7-10.30), at the Pen Factory, 13 Hope St, Liverpool L1 9BQ.
AND:
There is also a MEET EVERY 2/3 MONTHS on a THURSDAY evening ! These meets will be at Lovelocks coffee shop, under Travel Lodge, in Old Haymarket(central Liverpool)
You must be LGBTQ; and over 18 to attend all meetings. It is a safer-space group.
We meet in mixed(non lgbt-specific) venues; but these venues are known to be lgbt-friendly.
Chess and Scrabble sets provided; but we can always do with extra chess sets; please bring on the night!

MINIMUM PURCHASE( at Pen Factory only): a hot, soft or alcohol drink. Cakes and meals (tapas) usually available(at Pen Factory)
“Lovelocks” events:no purchase necessary! TOTALLY FREE; bring your own drink and food(that does not require heating)
If you want to play chess and and are a total beginner(ie do not know the rules ),please message under the event to check there will be a host available to teach you:) Thanks!

As this is a private group,and attendees are on a private guest-list,the Organiser reserves the right not to admit,or to remove,members,without explanation.
The Organising Team reserve the right to cancel/postpone meetings at short notice for acts of God, eg Organising Team illness, power cuts, etc
Please note, we signpost people, who want support,-with sexual orientation/gender identity/sexual health issues-to, for example, Sahir House; its not that we do not want to help; its just they have expertise in these fields☺. You are still welcome to attend our group, in parallel!:)
