About this event
In Buddhist practice, meditating on our own death is an essential part of ones spiritual training. Why? Because by facing our death with a wise understanding of what is truly taking place in that process we are able to engage in it with a peaceful mind. So, in that way it becomes powerful encouragement and inspiration to extract the real meaning of our human life.
In this course, Gen Gomlam will explain the Buddhist perspective on what happens to our mind when we die. We will learn how we can die peacefully, even joyfully, and how we can help others to do the same. We can give power and meaning to our own deaths. During the final session of this special course we will practice the Buddhist traditional prayer for the dead guided by Gen Gomlam with commentary about the practice.
