Trekking Sticks Walking & Rowing

Details

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve hosted an event. Since then, I’ve had a shoulder replacement, published over 330 videos on Rickey Amar’s What’s Next YouTube channel, and believe I have perfected a unique style of power walking with tethered sticks. (Trekking poles)
Imagine swimming and walking or walking and rowing—both have similar motions and engage your core. The poles facilitate that.
My past events focused on teaching how to walk with all the body parts in motion. Learn to propel safely forward on flat land, uphill, and downhill.
If you currently free walk without the assistance of poles on our local trails, you might want to give this technique a try. It will definitely improve your performance, agility and core strength.

I am at the time of this post age 71, 5’7”, 169#, and 17 years drug & alcohol-free, my diabetes is in remission. I’m feeling great. I attribute 75% of my good health to exercise-diet, and the rest by paying attention to my mental health. If you’re interested in learning more about how this exercise method can transform your life’s outlook and core strength, I am delighted to host this free demonstration and instructional exercise for you.

If you don’t have adjustable trekking poles, don’t worry—I have a few extra pairs. My supply is limited so please message me if you need them.

(Would you believe that once I weighed 305 pounds, alcoholic, enrolled in pain management, and had (have) type two diabetes?)

I have also had hardcore hikers come to my events and unfortunately some were a bit disappointed. Nothing too challenging about this instructional event.
If you’re one of these people and think you can keep up with me, perhaps we can set up a different event at a more challenging venue for you. I can easily complete most trails in this canyon at 3.3 mph, covering 5 kilometers in less than an hour—uphill and downhill, at the same speed. Message me if you’re interested in a more advanced version of this technique.
