Happy Moderate Fahnestock Loop Hike Again!!

We had such a great day today I am posting this again before the winter stuff arrives, I hope!!! Fahnestock is a great place, varied terrain, ups, downs, LEAVES, roots and rocks. To get there you have a wiggly windy uphill road to get there. If the world is icy I will reschedule. Changes will be made by 7am. I am doing this early enough that we shouldn't have to deal with the white stuff yet. I am posting pictures of the parking area, the road you should go up, and the mailboxes that are at the parking area.
New policy!!! Due to the high rate of newbie no-shows new friends MUST send me a confirming note prior to the evening before the hike or I will assume you are not joining us and will remove you from the event. If you have no-shows or numerous late back-outs with me I will remove you from the event. Your RSVP is VERY important.
Almost 6 miles moderate, not easy!!!! Dogs welcome. No beginners. Please be a regular hiker with recent hiking experience.
Hiking boots mandatory, pack, first aid, water, snacks. We will dine afterwards.
If winter weather you will need Microspikes or some similar traction device. NO YAKTRAX or nubby devices. Wear layers and follow the No Cotton rule for winter hiking. This includes jeans and long johns as wet clothing is a danger if it is cold out. If you are not properly prepared I will ask you to find a different activity for your day.
The map pin is an approximation. You will see our cars pulled off to the left side of the road when you get there. There is a hiking sign and a bunch of mailboxes. If you don't see us keep going a little, you will. It is near some tennis courts.
$2 Meetup fee. Please send me your cell if I don't have it, I will return with mine.
