About us

Welcome, volunteering enthusiasts from every corner of the world! We are a passionate organization dedicated to solidarity, organizing live impact events across a variety of social projects. We currently foster these life-changing connections across Latin America, specifically in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and El Salvador.

You can join us from anywhere! We offer both digital and physical opportunities to give back. If you are nearby, you are more than welcome to join us in person for our Volunteering Saturdays that last two hours.

Common questions:

  • How can I sign up to become a volunteer?
Joining our community is incredibly simple! You just need to visit our official sign-up platform: https://huellas.social/Voluntariado and fill out a short registration form with your basic details.

  • Are there any hidden commitments or long-term requirements?
Not at all. Our model is fully flexible. By signing up, you gain access to our calendar, and you can freely choose which Saturdays and projects fit your schedule. All we ask for is your enthusiasm and an open heart during those two hours of service.

  • Do I need prior experience to volunteer?
Not at all! You don't need any special background or experience. The most important requirement is your empathy and desire to share your time. Our team will guide you through every activity.

  • Are the activities safe and supervised?
Yes, absolutely. Every project is fully coordinated, structured, and supervised by experienced leaders. We ensure a safe, respectful, and joyful environment for both our volunteers and the children or older adults we visit.

  • What should I expect during the 2-hour activity?
Expect a fast-paced, heartwarming experience! Activities range from board games and storytelling to collaborative arts, crafts, or simply sharing life stories. We focus on active listening and creating moments of pure joy.

  • To join our activities, you must be available between 14:00 and 19:00 hrs Argentine time (GMT-3) on Saturdays. While our core solidarity activities last exactly two hours, each institution (children's home or nursing home) operates on a slightly different schedule within this timeframe. Once you choose a specific project, we will provide the exact start time.

  • Where and how do I sign up?
You need to access this website:Voluntariado using a web browser like Google Chrome. If you are already here, you are good to go! Next, simply click on the "Participar como voluntario!" (Join as a volunteer!) button. Once clicked, the system will prompt you to register using your personal WhatsApp or Facebook account to complete your enrollment.

  • What do I need to register?
As mentioned above, all you need is an active WhatsApp number or a Facebook account to create your volunteer profile.

  • What is the age requirement?
You can join and participate in our volunteering programs if you are 16 years old or older.

  • Can I sign up and attend with a friend?
Registration is strictly individual. Teams are strategically balanced by distributing new volunteers across different locations. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that you and your friend will be assigned to the exact same activity.

Volunteering with children and elders in Buenos Aires

Av. Martín García 346, Av. Martín García 346, C1165 Cdad. Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, AR

You can start your volunteering journey today by visiting huellas.social/Voluntariado and clicking "Participar como voluntario!". Registration is strictly individual and requires only a WhatsApp number or Facebook account. Our model is fully flexible: there are no long-term commitments, and you can freely choose which Saturdays you wish to participate. You must be available on Saturdays between 14:00 and 19:00 hrs Argentine time (GMT-3). While the core activity lasts exactly two hours, each care facility operates on its own schedule within this timeframe.

No prior experience is necessary, as our experienced leaders supervise and guide every safe, structured session. The 2-hour experience is divided into three meaningful stages:

    1. The Briefing: The day begins with an introductory talk to help volunteers understand their social impact, fostering collective responsibility and empathy.
    2. The Connection: Guided by coordinators, volunteers visit the children's/elder's home or community center to lead pre-planned games, storytelling, or crafts designed to bond with the youth.
    3. The Solidarity Project: The session concludes with a creative initiative where volunteers empower the children/elders to create something for others. This teaches them that they, too, can actively participate in society and make a positive impact on someone else's life.
