The Great Unity

One of the most interesting concepts of classical Chinese thought is the Great Unity. - a society that extended to all and where everybody had access to a reasonable living standard and thrived together rather than engaging in conflict with each other.

This event will involve a talk exploring a human hearted version of a great unity for today. The talk will cover paths to international co-operation, social and economic welfare policies , and how a great unity might be extended to change our relations with non human animals. The talk will be followed by a discussion of what should be involved in a contemporary Great Unity and how to bring it about.

We don't need to feel trapped in the world as it is. We can develop a vision of a new great unity to strive for today.
