The Humanists & Freethinkers of Cape Fear (HFCF) is a group of like-minded people with the goal to lead and promote a humanistic and freethinking life stance with ideals based on ethics, freedom, rationalism, and global concerns. As humanists, we are guided by reason, inspired by compassion and informed by experience. We strive to build and maintain a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life. We want to make humanism part of the social fabric through education, discussion and community-building. As both individuals and as a community we support local, national and global initiatives to make this life and this world better for all. We provide a support network and social community for humanists. We welcome people interested in social justice, secularism, environmentalism, peace, and personal liberty. We are and welcome supporters of all ages, origins, ethnicities, and gender identity.

The HFCF website (https://capefearhumanists.org/) has information about the HFCF and links to various humanism resources. You can also sign up to receive our newsletters (about 10 a year). (We do not share your email outside our organization.) If you like what you see, please consider becoming an annual member of the HFCF for $30. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization managed by an all-volunteer Board who rely mostly on membership dues (though we gladly accept donations) to cover the organization’s operating costs. FYI, being a member the HFCF Meetup group is FREE.
