Volunteer Trail work/ Camping weekend

Hello,

I am proposing a project and need your feedback.

The California State Parks are (as you may well know) underfunded and
in need of volunteers to maintenance hiking trails: The trails attract
visitors, interest in our wild lands, and may even contribute to
increased preservation of California's natural habitats.

If enough interest is generated I ( Cody Gorden) can organize a
volunteer week-end for HASD in which we can get out and do some good
work community.

Camping is free for volunteers, begining on a Friday evening and
ending Sunday afternoon. Showers are available, I'll even cook
breakfast and make coffee for all the volunteers. By night we can have
a BBQ and campfire singing (bring you own instrument).

The work is hard and rewarding (There are also jobs for those who are
interested but may not be physically able to do brush removal.) we
would simply be clearing the brush off the trails after the equipment
operators have cut it.The day begins at 8:00 am and usually ends
around 1:pm. Volunteers may use hand tools such as saws, pitch-forks,
and shovels (all provided, including safety equipment).

This is a great opportunity for HASD to give back to the community and
promote our cause.
Please reply to this email if you are interested, you can also contact
me ( Cody Gorden) via email [address removed] if you have any
questions.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from all of you,

Cody Gorden (Secretary)
