HumanLight & Holiday Treat Packaging & Delivery
Details
Come and celebrate the uniquely humanist and secular holiday, HumanLight. This is a secular holiday commemorating the December holiday season without encroaching on other adjacent holidays—both religious ones such as Christmas and secular one such as Solstice.
The goal is to have Humanists Doing Good volunteers bake treats at home. Then, we will convene on Friday 23DEC, 2:00PM-4:00PM at the main branch of Mesa County Library in order to package what you have baked. We will have some fun dividing up the treats and we ‘ll make them ready for distribution. Distribution to hotel workers, airport personnel, gas station attendants, etc. People who are stuck at work away from family and/or friends. On the 25DEC we will need drivers to distribute these goodies.
Since these treats will be packaged with other treats, please consider making things that can come in contact with other treats without much of a problem. HDG will supply zip lock bags.
If you’re going to sign up for distributing the baked treats, then please do come to the library on Friday 23DEC @ 3:00PM-4:00PM and you can decide on how much you’re able to distribute on the 25th.
