Short hike to see fall colors at Waterdog Reservoir on the Grand Mesa

Details

This is a nice 2.8 mile walk through lots of aspen trees on existing or old roads. GJ Hikes rates it as easy and says it takes 1 hour 45 minutes. It would be a great hike for kids! There are some rocks on the road and a little uphill, but nothing very strenuous! Here is a link to the hike description: https://www.gjhikes.com/2013/10/waterdog-reservoir-loop.html

This is color weekend, so please carpool if you are able to. Bring a snack or lunch!

It could be cold or hot, raining or dry, so come prepared for anything and don't forget cameras because the colors should be nice! And if you have any blaze-orange clothing, it's hunting season, so it wouldn't hurt to wear it!

For those who would like a longer hike, there is an option to continue to the Long Slough Reservoir, which would be about a 4-mile round trip.
