About us
FREE, IN-PERSON MEETUPS IN PITTSBURGH.
HumanOS stands for Human Operating System. Every day, your mind and body receive inputs, process them through memory, expectations, emotion, and habit, and produce outputs—thoughts, feelings, words, and actions—often while running on autopilot.
Autopilot helps us move through daily life, but it can also keep us doing things that hurt ourselves or other people. An argument may end while your mind keeps rehearsing what you should have said for the next few hours. You may say something you later regret, or decide to sleep early and still find yourself scrolling after midnight.
When the same automatic pattern keeps repeating, we call it a loop.
Our main focus is self-understanding and mindful living: noticing what your mind and body do automatically, understanding how those patterns affect you and others, and creating more room for conscious choice. We explore this through mindfulness, reflection, perspective-taking, peer conversation, and small real-life experiments.
We may also share simple practices that can support a happier, more peaceful life and healthier relationships. Future gatherings may explore habits, relationships, meaning, and the social world around us—always through the same question: What is happening between input and output?
