Come Nurture Your Soul & Further Your Project
Details
IT'S A NEW YEAR -- WE'RE TRYING NEW THINGS!
Please read the new notes at bottom carefully.** We tried a new venue in Jan. with the opportunity to break bread and share some yummy dishes with one another, and plan to do the same in March.
ABOUT: This is a dedicated time to nurture ourselves and honor our creative spirits while meeting new friends. There's no cost.
BRING YOUR PROJECT: Whatever tools or materials you need for your quilting, scrap booking, painting, beadwork, sewing, knitting, stained glass, drawing, ceramics, basket weaving, needlepoint, whittling, wood burning, rock painting, mosaic, or any other fanciful project.
The picture used for this event is only a sample -- come and bring any portable project you want to work on.
NOTES:
- If you can't get there right at 6PM, no worries.
If you can, please do shoot me a note so that I know... that said, I may not get day-of msgs. until after the event. - If you require electricity, come prepared with a long extension cord.
- Let's all plan ahead to leave the space in pristine condition when done; if you need any clean up supplies for your craftwork, bring 'em with you.
"RULES:"
- No work, no younguns, no commitments or obligations, no stress!
- All who are kind and respectful are welcome
- Friends are welcome if they’d like to join in
- There's no obligation to attend every time
**CHANGE OF VENUE & BRINGING SOMETHING TO SHARE
- A member has offered to host our hobby night at their home located outside Oregon City limits in unincorporated Clackamas County.
The address will not be posted here on MeetUp; it will be sent via MeetUp's messaging system to those who RSVP 48 hours prior to the event, along with directions and a phone # (in case you should need help finding it the day of).
That message should land in your personal email inbox (whatever email you have on file with MeetUp), unless you've told MeetUp you don't want to get such msgs. for this group. If you sign up, please look for the msg. and check your spam folder, etc.
In order to get a sense of location (especially if you're traveling from afar), the home is in the vicinity of South Bradley Road. in OrCity, not too terribly far (generally speaking) from Clackamas Community College.
Our host has offered to provide coffee, tea, and water and to make a simple, warm dish (perhaps a vegetarian chili). Those who RSVP are asked to:
--contribute a drink or side dish or snack or dessert to share
Take a look at the # of RSVPs here on MeetUp a couple days before the event to determine how much to bring; please also realize there are almost always a couple no-shows
--not bring meat to the event
Our host, as well as some of our regular members, are vegetarian or vegan; side dishes or condiments that contain egg or dairy are fine
--include a simple label listing the ingredients of whatever dish you bring to help everyone navigate their own food choices
I'm so looking forward to this and am excited to meet / see you!
-Jo
